Together, we are Barnet will highlight some of our many groups, sports teams and local projects, as well as individuals, who contribute so much to our community.

This week we're focusing on Andrew Cox, who is the chief executive of Middlesex Association for the Blind, which supports around 200 visually impaired people in Barnet.

“Sight loss is a great leveller. It affects people of all ages, ethnicities, religions and each face similar problems to those of someone from a completely different background. Becoming visually impaired can be socially isolating; you can lose your confidence. Our organisation helps people to remain independent in their own homes and also to get out of the home and be part of the local community."
