As we move into the next phase of the campaign, we are asking our residents and businesses to show support for the campaign, so we can all work together to help keep Barnet clean.

You can help by organising or attending a community litter picks. We have three community group litter picks so far confirmed for September.

Join either:

• Friends of Mill Hill Park: Mill Hill Park café NW7 2BD, September 10, 10.30 - 12.30

• Friends of Windsor Open Space: Windsor Open Space, September 11,  10am-1pm (meet at the bottom of Windsor road N3)

• Friends of Friary park: Friary Park café N20 0NR, from 2.30pm on Thursday 22nd September.

Councillor Dean Cohen, Chairman of the Environment Committee, said: “The council is working hard to eliminate littering and fly tipping across the borough and I am pleased with the success of the Keep Barnet Clean campaign, but it’s important not to become complacent about keeping our shared community and public places clean and tidy – which is why as we move into the next phase of the campaign we are asking for your help.

“Community litter picks are a fun way to help give your local area a spruce up, and meet new like-minded people in your local area and if you have a spare hour or two, I’d like to encourage you to take part.”
