The Leader of Barnet Council, Cllr Barry Rawlings, has responded to today’s arrests following a counter terrorism policing investigation.

He said: “Following the arrest of four men as part of a counter terrorism policing investigation today, I want to thank the Metropolitan Police for their continued work in protecting our communities, including our Jewish community here in Barnet.

“At this anxious time for many residents, the council will continue to play its part in supporting the police to keep people safe.

“We encourage residents to remain vigilant. If they see or hear anything that doesn’t look or feel right, then to report it to police in confidence, on 0800 789 321 or via www.gov.uk/ACT
