East Barnet Library is on the move!

Published:

East Barnet Library is set to relocate to a brand new library building in the newly constructed New Barnet Leisure Centre from 24 September.

The current library building in Brookhill Road, East Barnet, will close on 31 August ahead of the opening of the new library.

The move will provide a brand new modern library equipped with improved public computer facilities, an on-site café and increased parking.

The three-week period between East Barnet library closing its doors, and the new library opening, will allow time for the library’s stock and equipment to be relocated and set up.

The new site is a short distance away at 1 Lawton Road, EN4 9BS.

East Barnet Library is one of two partnership libraries in the borough managed by the charity Inclusion Barnet.

The library has been constructed as part of the council’s multi-million pound project to build a new leisure centre at Victoria Recreation Ground. The new leisure centre will offer a learner pool, 25m community pool, health and fitness suite, new tennis courts, group exercise studios and a new multi-use games area.

More information on the new library building's opening times are available online.
