Due to the COVID-19 epidemic, the council has fewer workers to carry out household waste collections.
Message from the Leader: COVID-19 update
This means that the council will now, temporarily, collect recycling waste on a fortnightly basis
We will continue to collect general refuse waste from black bins on a weekly basis.
You can find your fortnightly recycling collection dates at barnet.gov.uk/covid19
If you have to self-isolate as a precaution or because you have COVID-19, please take the following action when putting out your black bin waste in order to protect our refuse operators.
- Please put your waste in a plastic rubbish bag and tie the bag up.
- Place that bag into another bag, and then tie this up.
- Store it away safely for at least 72 hours before putting it out for collection.
