Every child in Barnet whose parent applied on time for a 2018/19 primary school place has received an offer of a place.
This year, almost 95 per cent of Barnet residents who applied on time received an offer of a place at one of their top three choices of schools, whilst almost 85 per cent were offered a place at their first choice.
These figures are very similar to those of the previous year with the same percentage of residents receiving a place at one of their top three school choices and the same percentage being offered their first choice.
Chris Munday, Barnet Council’s Strategic Director for Children and Young People, said: “We are very pleased that we’ve once again been able to achieve positive results for so many children in the borough.
“We try our best to supply the right number of school place, so we’re therefore delighted that every child who parent applied on time has received an offer of a place.”
