We want your views on the new play facilities in Victoria Park, Finchley

Barnet has a great collection of parks and open spaces and we are asking for your views on some new play facilities in Victoria Park, Finchley Church End.

Victoria Park, Finchley

The council sold The Lodge in Victoria Park in 2015 and it is a requirement that any funds raised from the sale will only be spent on Victoria Park. The council, along with Groundwork London, developed a Master Plan for the park, which was agreed and adopted by the council as Trustee of Victoria Park Trust in early 2019.

The Master Plan has been informed by feedback through a consultation carried out last year which identified the activities residents wanted prioritised in the Master Plan. The number one priority for residents was “new playground facilities”.  As a result, £200,000 has been identified in the Master Plan to make changes to the two play facilities.

We are now seeking your views on the two play areas in the park: it is proposed that the play area near Long Lane will be designed as an older children’s play area; and the proposed play area near the café will be designed for toddlers and younger children.

There will be two pop up consultation events in the park. Find out more and have your say at Engage Barnet.
