Export Hub gives businesses a boost in Barnet

The Export Hub Roadshow arrives in Barnet on 1 April 2016 as part of the UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) Exporting is GREAT nationwide tour.

The Export Hub aims to help businesses succeed in international markets and demonstrate the world of opportunities that exists overseas. The event will give businesses the chance to meet and hear from some of the capital’s most respected business figures and local exporters on how they can take their business abroad.

The Export Hub will provide all the essential need-to-know information for first-time exporters and small and medium-sized enterprises, including how to set up as an exporter, in addition to details about international trade and finance.
Barnet has the highest number of businesses and start-ups than any other outer London borough, with a range of small, medium and large enterprises. Local businesses can find out more about exporting, a key opportunity to expand and grow, by coming along to the Export Hub event at North London Business Park on 1 April 2016.

Attendees will hear from North London Chambers, Barclays, HSBC, BT and UK Export Finance, which provides finance and insurance for firms looking to export.

The event is part of Exporting is GREAT, the Government campaign to inspire 100,000 more businesses to export by 2020. This is one of a series of Export Hub events being held around London as part of the year-long Exporting is GREAT Roadshow which is travelling the length and breadth of the country. Barnet Council’s Commissioning Director for Growth and Development, Cath Shaw, said: “This is a great opportunity for businesses in Barnet to get expert advice on expanding overseas and to learn from the success of local exporters.
