Pesach collection service 2020

We are providing a dedicated Pesach collection service to the Jewish community. Please note collection arrangements are different from last year.

This additional refuse service will be in operation at houses on 300-plus pre-designated roads, making it simple for residents to dispose of Pesach refuse and Chometz before Passover.

If you live on a pre-designated road and then follow the relevant guidance below.

Please note that the council is working to minimise disruption to services during the COVID-19 outbreak, however the arrangements set out below are subject to change. Any updates regarding changes to these collections which may occur in relation to the COVID-19 outbreak will be available on this page.

Handy tips to manage your Pesach waste

  • Your normal refuse bin collection will take place on your scheduled collection day. Collections may take place at a different time of day than usual.
  • Pesach waste that is not presented as set out above will not be collected.
  • Please do not overfill refuse bins, as it may not be possible to collect these containers.
  • Please do not place any excess food waste in your green garden waste bin or blue recycling bin. Food waste should be placed in your black refuse bin.
