Councillor Melvin Cohen has become the 49th Mayor of Barnet after being officially sworn in during the annual meeting of the council at Hendon Town Hall last night (21 May 2013).

Barnet Council last night confirmed the appointment of its new Cabinet at annual council.
Barnet Council selects Capita as preferred bidder for joint venture

Barnet Council officers have recommended Capita as the preferred bidder to join the council in a joint venture to deliver development and regulatory services in the borough. The contract will be delivered by Capita’s property and infrastructure business. The proposal will be put to the council’s cabinet on June 24.
