Arriving late to your ceremony
Register Office in Hendon Town Hall
If you are up to 20 minutes late to your ceremony, there is a late arrival fee of £25. You must pay this before the start of the ceremony.
If you are more than 20 minutes late, we will cancel your ceremony and you will need to re-book and pay again in full.
Licensed premises in Barnet
If you are up to 30 minutes late to your ceremony, there is a late arrival fee of £50. You must pay this before the start of the ceremony.
If you are more than 30 minutes late, your ceremony may not take place. You will need to re-book and pay again in full.
Changes to your ceremony
We charge £20 to change ceremony dates and times with 7 days notice. If you give us less than 7 days notice you will be charged your full booking fee.
Cancelling your ceremony
You can cancel your ceremony and apply for a refund a month before your ceremony date. Your refund will be minus the £50 non-refundable secure booking fee.
Apply for your refund by emailing or writing to us, include full details of the ceremony date, time, venue and your full names and your payment method.
Requests for refunds can be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org please make refund request the title of your email.
Cancellations and changes due to COVID-19
The Coronavirus pandemic has not ended, the virus is still present in the population.
It may be necessary to cancel and/or reschedule ceremonies at short notice due to changes in government restrictions, local lockdowns or the need for our staff to self-isolate.
We will contact any affected customers as soon as possible if there are any changes to service provision.
By booking during the pandemic, you agree that you understand and accept the risk of late notice cancellations and/or rescheduling. We aim to give customers as much notice as possible.
Marriage, civil partnership, renewal of vows and baby naming ceremonies
If you have a ceremony booked, you will have the option of being contacted at a later date to reschedule, or receive a full refund including the non-refundable booking fee.
If you cancel your ceremony, you will receive a refund minus the booking fee.
If you are part of a group citizenship ceremony, we will contact you to reschedule you to the next available date.
If you have booked a private citizenship ceremony, we will give you the option of rescheduling at a later date or receiving a full refund.
