Get ready to vote on Thursday 2 May elections

Published:

Don't forget ID

The Mayor of London and London Assembly elections are taking place on Thursday 2 May - less than two weeks away. Make sure you are completely ready to vote by checking that you have a valid form of photo ID and know the location of your local polling station.

These will be the first elections to be held in Barnet where voter ID is required to vote in person. Make sure you’re ready and have the right photo ID. To find out what types of ID will be accepted, visit the Electoral Commission website or call their helpline on 0800 3280280.

All registered electors should have received a polling card letter by early next week (22 April) with details of their polling station or details of their voting method. You don’t need your poll card to vote, but if you have misplaced yours you can find your polling station at www.wheredoivote.co.uk.

The main dispatch of postal vote packs are being delivered this week.  If you are voting by post, don’t forget to return your postal vote pack through Royal Mail.
