Housing Mix

This request is made under the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act and Environmental Information Regulations and is submitted on behalf of Friern Barnet & Whetstone Residents' Association.

The request relates to the 'housing mix' of residential unit sizes in residential developments in Barnet ('housing mix').

The term 'documents' used below includes documents whether in written or in electronic formats and includes reports, papers, notes, emails, letters and memoranda.

We request copies of the following -

1. the documents comprising the current guidance/instructions with regard to housing mix to be applied by/ taken into account by planning officers in assessing planning applications for development comprising or including residential units; and

2. with regard to the Council's 'Housing Strategy March 2019', the documents considering the mis-match between the identified requirement for 2019-41,showing as 23% as 1/2 bed units and 77% 3 bed or more, and actual completions. Our understanding is that typically 80% of completed units are 1/2 bed and just 20% 3 bed or more.

3. with regard to the Council's 'Housing Strategy March 2019', the documents considering the failure the achieve delivery of the required numbers of larger unit sizes.
