Our Select and Collect service is changing. You can request items through our online catalogue or by visiting us.
We will no longer choose items for you.

You will need your library card and PIN to log in to your account.
Forgotten your PIN? You can reset it online
If you have a library number starting H000 visit us to have your card upgraded to full membership before you log in.
Once you are logged in, you can request up to 15 items for free.
Request items that are not on our catalogue
Email the library you wish to collect your item from with full details including:
- format; if you need hardback, paperback, CD, Large Print, audiobook, DVD
- edition; if you require a specific edition
- your library card number
- your name
We will try to get this for you. There is a charge for this service.
Collecting and returning your library items
When items will be available for collection
It will take some time before your selected items are ready for collection.
Items on loan to another customer will not be available until they are returned.
When and how to collect your items
We will contact you by email when your request is ready to collect.
Please check we have your correct email address in ‘My Account’ in our online catalogue to ensure you receive an email.
If you don’t have an email address you can pay for a postal notification.
We will keep your items for 2 weeks.
When you come to the library to collect your items you will need to bring your library card and borrow the items in our self-service kiosks before you take them home.
How to return your items
Items can be returned to any library. You can return items inside the library during our opening times.
Out of hours return bins are available at Chipping Barnet, Edgware, Finchley Church End, Golders Green and Hendon libraries.
You may need to return an item before or at the time you collect your request if you have more than 20 items on your card.

For the safety of you and all our staff, we request that you wear a face covering and follow social distancing rules when collecting items.
