Barnet Council has produced an infographic to give residents a flavour of how it is delivering on its plans to care for people, our places, and the planet over the past six months.

You can view a PDF of the infographic below:

Set against four themes of ‘Caring for people’, ‘Caring for our places’, ‘Caring for the planet’, and ‘An engaged and effective council’, the infographic provides an at-a-glance summary of the range of new services, support and schemes that are making Barnet a better place to live for all.

Highlights include:

  • Caring for people: £9m of support for residents most affected by the cost of living crisis
  • Caring for our places: launch of the Community Safety Hubs and Ward Walks pilot schemes to address concerns about crime and anti-social behaviour
  • Caring for the planet: declared a climate emergency and committed to become a net zero council by 2030 and net zero borough by 2042
  • An engaged and effective council: launch of the community engagement and participation strategy

Cllr Barry Rawlings, Leader of Barnet Council, said:

“We have ambitions to be the caring council and it’s important to show to all how we’re delivering on that. The past six months have seen us transform how we engage and involve the community and put them at the centre of shaping the services and decisions that affect them.

“This infographic is just one of the ways we’ll keep residents informed of the progress we’re making to care for people, our places and the planet.”
