Anyone can apply to vote by post at future elections or referendums in the UK. Voting by post is an easy and convenient way of voting if you are unable to get to the polling station. We recommend that you apply for a postal vote as soon as you know that you will not be able to make it to the polling station on polling day. The deadline to apply for, cancel or change a postal vote or proxy postal vote for the London Mayor and Greater London Assembly elections on 7 May 2020 is 5pm on Wednesday 22 April 2020.
